Renault tribute to the Nürburgring in Torino

Renault Argentina and the Argentine homenajeron Club Torino this weekend in Buenos Aires Autodrome Torino to the three who took part in the 1969 Nürburgring 84. The event was held in conjunction with the Club Day organized by the Argentine Association of Sport Cars. The star of the entertainment was the number 1 coupé, known as "the Bananito" which despite being in a painful state of preservation, was first recognized by its manufacturer as the original, in the context of a controversy where a museum claims to have the same vehicle.

The eclectic trio of cars was made by the "Number 1", belonging to the collector Daniel Van Lierde, the "Number 2", a replica built by Manuel Antelo on the first Torino 380W made in Cordova, and "Number 3" , from the Museo Fangio. The "Number 1" was recognized as much for its original designer, Oreste Berta, as now by its manufacturer. Van Lierde was commissioned to restore the mechanics, but now in doubt restore the body: fear remove features that certify the identity of the vehicle, amid a dispute with another collector who claims to have the same car.

The owner of Car Museum of Buenos Aires, Luis Spadafora, a decade ago that shows what he says is the "authentic Torino Number 1 Nürburgring. As a curiosity, in Buenos Aires Autodrome was this weekend as another decorated Torino "Number 1". In this case it is a replica made by an individual on the basis of a Torino "seven banks. Its owner has no intention of entering into the controversy and ensures that your car is just a tribute to the Mission in Argentina Nürburgring. The bonnet of this replica was autographed by the three pilots who managed the real "Number 1" in Germany: Luis Rubén Di Palma, Oscar "Cacho" Fangio and Carmelo Galbato.
